Gap House was more than just a project for me; it was a genuine source of inspiration. Wes, a client from the United States, reached out to me. He needed architectural visualizations for an incredible project:
When it comes to creating a customized project that stands out among the rest, even with some initial references from the client, I delved deeply into a research process. Before starting any project, it´s essential to understand the atmosphere I want to create, what captures attention, and the emotions I intend to convey.
I conducted thorough research, scrutinizing every detail. However, a crucial question arose in my mind: "Apart from the lush nature surrounding a chalet in the middle of the forest, what would make you, on the other side of this screen, wish to be there?"
I envisioned a charming scenario: a serene forest, a welcoming chalet, and misty mornings near the mountains. Images like these evoke a sense of refuge and coziness. My brain immediately conjured crackling fireplaces, plush blankets, comfortable furniture, oversized mugs of hot chocolate and warm coffee, and, of course, great company.
It was then that I made the decision to set the project in the autumn, a season I personally adore. During this time of year, the trees gradually bid farewell to the summer heat, transforming their foliage into a vibrant palette of colors before the arrival of winter. This atmosphere offers a delightful and inviting glimpse, which became the core of this project.
With this choice, I aimed to create an environment that not only stood out but also captured everyone´s imagination, inviting them to experience the serenity and comfort of this chalet in the heart of nature.
