For this personal project, I made the decision to execute as much as possible in 3D, which included the distant villages, the housing complex, and the coral formations.
I began modeling the entire terrain from a displacement map. This was followed by generating a quad remesh and then making precision adjustments using a brush tool. After that, I incorporated a diverse collection of coral species, various marine fish, and detailed photogrammetry marine rocks.
