On the former hospital grounds in Waalwijk, a new residential district is taking shape, one that offers space for connection, care, and greenery. Commissioned by Peters Projectontwikkeling, Sweco Architects designed a plan with around 250 homes, a regional healthcare center, and a central park.
The layout is carefully focused on creating connections: a variety of housing types, the positioning of the healthcare center, and the design of the public space all contribute to a place where young and old can meet.
Florissant will become a future-proof neighborhood, naturally blending history with new functions.
