Thesis in 2025. Where Architecture Meets the Outdoors.
I am pleased to present my thesis project for the new Department of Architecture at the University of Parma. This design reimagines the academic experience by blending architecture seamlessly with nature, crafting a sustainable environment where learning and social interaction flourish.
The building is defined by its cylindrical forms, green roofs, and sloping walls—elements that not only enhance the aesthetic but also foster a deep connection with the surrounding landscape. These architectural features maximize natural light, frame breathtaking panoramic views, and create spaces that harmonize functionality with beauty.
A central element of the design is the exhibition space, which revolves around a tranquil garden patio. This area is conceived not only as a space for academic exchange but also as a dynamic social hub, intended to foster collaboration and strengthen community ties.
Ultimately, this project embodies the belief that architecture, nature, and social spaces should coexist in harmony, creating an environment that nurtures creativity, well-being, and connection.
