Product Visualization for OhMyBrand company. I was responsible for creating concept of visualization (theme, mood, style etc), and then have created series of images.
I want to share some interesting idea I came across while working on it. We all seen great power of DOF for 3D renders, it easily brings image to the next level. But to make DOF look real we need to have ZDepth pass that gives information for blurring plugin, which object is near or far away. The final work in this post is pretty simple 3d-render (actually the worst render ever). When it was done I took it to PS and started painting on top of it and then added texture detail as we all know. I had original ZDepth pass, but it was super simple depth of primitive lowpoly objects. So after mattepaint was done, I painted ZDepth map on top of primitive one to translate all mattepainted objects properly into the depth. Then both images were loaded to Frischluft and all love put into mountains was killed with ton of DOF. I hope this may be interesting for some lovers of bokeh effect. If you will watch hirez you will see, that borders of mattepainted objects are crisp, everything is blurring very naturally - thats benefit of spending 15 minutes for translating your layers to B&W depth image. Thanks for watching! Will be happy to hear any advice or critique on this piece!
