Temporary prefabricated structures in the heart of Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Italy / Politecnico di Milano
The project is inspired by the historical structure surrounded by nature and used to lure birds through an illusion called "Roccolo". This illusion is a perception that describes the concept of this project, focusing on the relationship between the physical and the digital perception in the three macro areas of the park: Fun, Learn, and Wellness. The areas have a different relationship with nature: above, inside, and around.
"Fun" hosts events, playgrounds for children, and temporary stores. "Learn" offers new ways of cultivating (hydroponic farming and bio-reactors creating EcoSpheres) as well as spaces dedicated to art and history. Wellness" develops the body perception through athletic moves like those in bodyweight, sports fields, and yoga. The organic shape developed for the structures was inspired by breaking the initial shape of the circular Roccolo.
The concept of this shape creates modularity and unifies all structures through modules of arches and voids.
