Apart from a floor plan and the client's wish for a design proposal, that's functional and sticks out, there was not much input to this project. So an interior design concept had to be developed alongside the visualization work. Luckily, that's a task me and the marketing agency I did this on behalf of really enjoy.
The concept: good old switcheroo - the wood, that usually belongs on the floor now graces the walls, forming open spaces, but visibly separated spaces along the way. The floor - now being exposed - gets a bright concrete finish, as do the walls. Only the ceiling gets the usual white treatment for light scattering reasons.
Furnishingand decorations are of classic elegance, but ment to remain subtle. Still, the feeling the visuals are meant to transport is of a lived-in home, rather than an interior-design-catalogue photoshoot.
